On looking at moving my account i decided to apply for the HSBC Advance switch account as i meet the criteria for that account so i applied online and within a few minutes of submitting it was declined but offering there standard account so i found that strange and called the Tel number on the page to try and find out why but they cound'nt help and suggested to make appointment at the bank and go in for a chat which i did but the lady was no help as she cound'nt see why with the info she had but said the bank have there own checks and decide from them which i understand but as i meet conditions to get this account i wanted to know why not.


The offer is £150 upfront and £50 after 12 months provided you use online banking so that is a good deal but £200 is a lot for the bank to get back and as i am 75 maybe thats why, but they wont admit. that as far as i know i have good credit rating no black marks.
