Vaillant ecofit pure 830 combi vs Worcester Bosch 30i

Hello,

We are upgrading from back boiler to a Combi boiler. I've got some quotes from local fitters.
I'm now deciding between the two best quotes :
Vaillant ecofit pure 830 boiler including fitting in airing cupboard and removal of old boiler, new thermostat, filters, flush etc all for £2900
(same guy quoted £2750 for an ideal boiler, but I don't think they're very reliable boilers).

The second quote is from BOXT who quoted online £3155 for a Worcester Bosch 30i with new thermostat and all bits and bobs fitted.
The price difference is not huge, so just needed suggestions on which one shall I go for? Both offer 10 year warrenty on parts and labour. But I'm also not sure about boxt, although they claim it's fixed price, they might try to squeeze a bit more money claiming there is no drain near airing cupboard or gas pipe is wrong size or something else they could make up? Local guy surveyed the property and quote us therefore all inclusive.

Boxt is a company set up by the previous directors of Help Link - search on line for some reviews of their previous enterprise.

Their method with Boxt is exactly the same as Helplink - lots of advertising offering a simple solution.

My own personal experience is the Help Link "surveyor" undertaking a full survey for a new instant gas powered water heater.

The engineer arrived with the heater, took one look at the job and said 'can't fix this heater there, its too close to a window'. I told him to leave.

BOXT is part owned by WB which is why they have quoted you for that make, what thermostat/ programmer are they allowing for ?
Both those boilers have an ali heat exchanger which won't last as long as a stainless one & WB don't make a boiler with a stainless hex

Look at Intergas or Baxi
