Also if the reasons are really ridiculous as you say, would it not be better to state adultery so that it goes through quicker? I'm just wondering if the reasons are that silly they can't be proven and it might delay things, or do you think that is her plan....Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

Using adultery won't speed things up, or change the pace of the divorce process.
Adultery relies on the respondent admitting it on the D10 - if they don't then the petitioner will have to prove the adultery. Using UB doesn't require the same proof, and a divorce can be progressed if the respondent doesn't return the D10.0 -

I don't think it'll be any slower with her reasons - which are "working in the evenings rather thanfamily time" - he used to do childcare every afternoon so made up hours in the evening
"not going on family holidays" - rubbish, he went on every one except some weekends to her family and vice versa
"making her feel sad by socialising with friends rather than her"
etc etc etc
She has totally instigated the divorce and he's happy for her to have one, the finances are the concern.
She could have listed adultery but I came along well after he left the marital home (I was a friend for yrs but 100% platonic).
Sadly he can't change the reason to that himself0 -

You coming along later wouldn't stop her alleging adultery though - they're still married so technically he is indeed an adulterer. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Absolutely, I am aware of that but it wouldn't make a difference at all in the divorce process other than I'd receive papers too.0
