I agree i had £300-350 in my head reading that list apart from the tyre and mot the parts are not going to be expensive but there is a good 2-3 hours work there0

The test itself is a standardised price - £54.85 - although garages can choose to discount from that if they wish.
You should have noticed the tyre was illegal - the MOT standard is the same as would get you three points and a fine.
You should have noticed the number plate was "illegible" or "insecure" - the line that needs to be crossed for a fail.
Are the boot, ball joint and drop link all on the same side? If so, at least there's some labour saved.
It'll need to be tracked up afterwards.0 -
£260 +VAT seems really fair to me.
£58 for MOT
£50 Tyre
£120 (2 x 1hour £60)
£12 Number plate
£50Misc suspension, boot etc
=£2900 -
The tyre had worn from the inside so I never noticed it, the number plate has a hairline crack, I thinks it’s an advisory but they are fixing anyway. And the cv boots that need replacing are on the front and the back0

I would have said £250; I have not paid the full price for an MOT for years, a tyre should be more like £40
A lot depends on where in the country and the level of service.0 -
Price given by the OP is about right.
Too many ifs and buts to be exact.0 -
Sorry I meant inner drive shaft cv and outer drive shaft cv0
