Moving house and changing the locks...
We are definitely getting the door locks changed (any ideas on cost?) but wondered if we should get the window locks changed too?
Think we are going to get new doors for the garage anyway so won't need to worry about that.
Thank you!

I'd change all the locks.
Measure the old ones, use online guide for how to match, buy online, fit yourself.0 -
You don't need to get window locks changed as the locks are on the inside so even if someone had the key they wouldn't be able to get in without breaking a window.0

I've never changed any, its totally up to you, there's no rules!0

We didn't bother to change the window locks that can only be used from inside but we shut all windows when we go out. I wouldn't want to leave a window locked open when the house is empty with the lock accessible as our keys are simple keys that anyone could easily have. Maybe newer windows have better locks? What are your window locks like?
We keep the window keys to hand as well in case we have to escape out the window if there's a fire.0 -
Window locks are about as secure as . . erm, a lump of cheese,
but they do make it more difficult to gain access from outside. Absolutely no point changing them.0 -
