Intercom and Bell Cables

I have an 8m hallway running to my lounge, currently the phone for the intercom and the bell from the flat front door are located at the end of this hallway.

The wires for both run along the top of the skirting board and look rather ugly.

How would I go about shortening both wires to relocate the phone and bell to go near the front door please?

Put the wires behind the skirting.

Unfortunately you do not have many choices, especially in a flat :(
  • Cut them and reterminate them.

Warning if you short-circuit the wires when cutting or terminating them you may blow the intercom for everyone in the building, and will face a repair bill from your freeholder or factor.

Micro trunking may be more acceptable.
