What address is needed on my license as a named driver
I have recently moved to London, and I am currently a named driver on my mum's car / insurance back home.
The insurance know my London address, but does my driver's license have to have my London address on it, even though I have no car or insurance registered here? As in is it a legal requirement that I could get fined/suspended if I don't change it.
(I know it will probably be easier just to have my correct current address, but I'm basically wanting to know if I have to go through the hassle of changing my ID or not, as if I will get fined etc I want to get it sorted asap, otherwise if it'll cause no problem I would rather leave it until I get a car of my own).

It's unrelated to the insurance, but your license address should be the address you live at.
If you're in London temporarily (uni for instance) then use your parents address, otherwise update it.0 -

Doesn't have to be ... Your driving licence can show a business address, or in fact any postal address where you can be contacted.
Parents address is fine.
(but insurance will want to know if it affects where the vehicle is being used/kept)0 -
OP, I had my mum's address on my old paper license for years after I moved out. Eventually changed it when I went on to a photo license it as it was my only form of photo ID. Main thing is that it's got an address where you can receive their correspondence.0

Your licence needs to be registered at an address where you can be contacted and can receive post. If the London address is tempory such as term time university accommodation it is Ok to leave it registered at your home address with your mum.
Bigger issue could be insurance. If the car is your mum's and stays at her address with her as the main user no problems. If on the other hand you have taken the car to London it shows you are actually the main user and your insurers could well cancel your insurance for "fronting" you would then need to declare this on all future insurance so it has serious consequences.0
