How strict is the Ryanair cabin policy from Bristol?

I'm pretty sure that staff can see at a glance whether a bag is easily small enough to be stowed under seat, and pay no more attention to it. I've never had the size of mine queried or checked at the boarding gates of easyjet, Ryanair etc.Evolution, not revolution0

Saw two Indian women at Oslo yesterday trying to board a Ryanair flight to Stansted. They had the hugest rucksacks ever, bigger than any suitcase. This was at the gate. They were denied boarding, as they were told there was no time to check in the luggage as it should have been. Oops !0
