Spare tyre advice
Hi all
After quick bit of advice!!
Have an audi A1 with a screw in the tyre. Just noticed there’s no spare!! Only one I have access to tonight is from my Mazda 3.
The Audi is a 205/40R17 whereas the Mazda is 205/50R17. Would tho she ok as a temporary fix or a bad idea?
Many thanks

Never mind the tyre size difference (the Mazda tyre is higher profile - the sidewalls are 50% of 205mm, instead of 40%) - are the wheels the same PCD? I doubt it...
PCD - Pitch Circle Diameter - is the bolt pattern. Unless they're the same, you won't be able to fit the wheel on. Also, if the centre bore's a different size, then the wheel either won't fit, or won't be securely centred, depending on if it's too big or small.0 -
Your Audi will have a tyre inflation kit. Blow the tyre up and drive to your nearest tyre fitter / garage and get the puncture repaired."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
