Sebo or Miele - Which Vacuum ?

Was gonna get a Dyson DC20 Stowaway but when I went to JL demoed the Miele and in comparison the Dyson was just rubbish for suction.
Ater doing further research I have also come across Sebo. I'm after a cylinder type and have a mixture of hardwood\carpet.
My questions are:
- SEBO: If you recommend Sebo which model is best all round. was thinking of K range may be k1 Komfort. Would you be able to tell me the difference between K\C range.
- MIELE: Was think of S5280 with HEFA Filter but the s5210 which isn't HFEA is around £60 cheaper so was wondering if it's worth it.
- Is HEFA filtration worth it, I do sneeze alot and the doctor says i'm allergic to something. Would it be worth getting an anti-allergy even though I don't do much of the vacuuming. ACTUALLY i don't do any of the vacuuming....lol
So which one would you recommend ?.

hi
I have a SEbo which is at least 10 years old and is still working great. They sell DIY kits in john lewis to change filters which i did last year. It is excellent and I will definately buy another one when this goes. I have an upright x range.

Just had a similar decision here. We sold our Kirby - which was a big, heavy lump (but a good machine) and needed a new alternative.
We boiled it down to the Miele Cat and Dog, and the Sebo K3 series. Read lots of reviews and advice around the net, and decided on the Sebo K3 Vulcano. Paid £170 with delivery, and it arrived last week. Had a chance to give it a proper test at the weekend, and its brilliant.
Best points are - its got on/off switch on the handle, with variable power control. Its light and small. Its very quiet compared to the old Kirby. Its got a hard floor, and carpet tool along with other tools. 5 year parts and labour guarantee. It picks everything up, even better than the Kirby. Its very easy to move around and easy to get into small places.
So, although I read loads of good stuff on the Miele, the 5 year guarantee is what made my final decision and I am well pleased.0 -
Hi
I've got a Sebo X1(10yrs old upright) and a miele cat & dog I have to hoover every day (2 dogs 2 cats 2 kids, you know the story!)The sebo is excellent for a quick whizz round but I find the Miele better for versatility, carrying it around the house, getting into akward spots, stairs etc.
That said if I was only left with one machine I would be more than happy with either as they both do the job plus some.;)0 -
I have a sebo - light grey/blue colour - its brilliant for carpets and wood floors0

I have a Dyson upright with HEPA filter,it is the turquoise and purple one bought about 3 years ago. The reason I like it is, it has good suction and it is bagless, no dusty bags to empty. I think you only lose suction if you don't wash the filter every 6 months like you are supposed to.
It is heavy to carry upstairs though and it sometimes falls over backwards, seems not to be balanced.
I like the sound of the SEBO, does it have bags though?0
