reccomend a new bank account for us?

We do occasionally go overdrawn.

We need two accounts (find its easier to have one for all the DD and 'drip feed' it money every week, and one with 'whats left')

We also want an online saver, have about £2000 savings but need instant access to it.

Husband works full time, I am a stay at home carer, so receive relevant benefits, totaling over £1000 per month. BUT only one account would have that paid into, the Direct Debit account would be more like £600.

Alliance and Leicester look good, but what are their charges like if we miss a DD or accidentally go overdrawn?

With Lloyds at the moment, but between fraud, charges and simply time to 'neaten' up our finances a bit (have 5 between us) it's time for a change.

We do have a bit of a 'dodgy' credit history, though almost no debt now.

Thanks in advance for any comments.
