Pure Planet Con

I recently got a quote from you based on my annual readings which recommended Pure Planet. I logged on and the quote they have given me is even more expensive than EFF variable tariff.....what a con and I imagine you are not aware of this?
Anyone else feel conned?

There is no con here by Pure Planet, but perhaps an innocent error by MSE (or rather MoneySuperMarket.com where MSE gets all it's data from)

With over 70 different suppliers and each often offering many different tariffs to keep on top of, sometimes there is an error in the data stored by the comparison site regarding a certain tariff & supplier.

This can easily be identified if you use two seperate, independant comparison sites, or as you have done, check with the supplier website itself.

If you have found an error, please notify the MSE CEC directly with full details of the error. The personal there do not read every post on these extensive forums. You can find their contact details on the Cheap Energy Club FAQs page. :)

Even if you had gone ahead with a switch application, and then discovered from the supplier that the price was different, you would be covered by the 14 day cooling off priod that applies to all switches of energy supplier.

I am temped by the green Pure Planet offer as it would save me around £70 pa:), but it's variable (not fixed). I see no con but the cost matrix is different from most other offers, so some automated algorithms may not cope and return a different value.
