She writes a witness statement to support your version of events, of course. If she doesnt appea rthe court may see it as less than reliable.0

OK great, can you advise on the rest of the content??
thanks very much0 -
No, search the forum for colourful letters Watchdog scam and you should find where people have covered this in WS before...I didn't go through any of the official appeals..popla etc... will this go against me?
You are not doing a skeleton defence, there is no such thing (do you mean a skeleton argument? You don't need it).Should I mention this in my skeleton defence??
This is your WS and just the story of what you know/the facts, plus it needs to refer to the evidence you are also filing, by number (and all pages in your paper file you are going to hand-deliver to the local court, must also be numbered.
You will need a contents page too, in the version you deliver to the court, making it nice and clear for the Judge.
Costs schedule too (high hundreds - see StubbornGoat's thred for why you need to file & serve that early. And see the NEWBIES thread for an example by sassii where he got 4 figures.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi there,
is my overall witness statment ok? Going to hand deliver tomorrow. if there are and obvious errors or things i should include would so appreciate feedback. thank you0 -
You've already had the best advice from Coupon-mad (C-m) in post #24, therefore you need to rework it so that it is a cogent Witness Statement (WS), which is a narrative, i.e. what happened on the day and each point you make relates to the evidence that you are submitting with a reference number as you have done with the BPA CoP. As advised by C-m, you need to remove the Skeleton Defence (as no such ting exists.
Don't forget the WS from the lady in the vehicle with you - providing she is planning to attend court with you.0 -
Also Is that right that I don't need to provide a skeleton argument? It seems to be a common feature in other cases...0
-
Skeleton Arguments are there to help you in presenting your defence in court and are a pr!cis/summary with bullet points so you can quickly find items in your defence/WS/evidence bundle. If it is a complicated defence you might need one but otherwise............0

also... should I have recieved a witness statement from Gladstones??0
-
ah ok I see. My defence isn't complicated so don't need a skeleton argument. just link to my exhibits within the witness statement.
my witness isn't coming to court actually..just taking a statement from her.0 -
If you look at your court papers you will see that both parties, i.e. you and claimant have to file and serve (i.e. on the court and on each other) witness statements and evidence, either by a certain date or within a certain number of days before the court hearing.0
