Which is best for controlling lights, heating etc in the home?

Out of all the systems, Hive, Google etc, for controlling lights, heating etc in the house which is the best and as this is MSE which is the cheapest?

    Hive works for me but you will get other advice here. If you want to control each room separately then Hive probably not the one. I use mine, so far, for heating, hot water, lights.
