Hi
My son who is 18 signed on at his initial interview at the Jobcentre on the 06/09/18 and subsequently on the 18/09/18. He received his first payment on the the 21/09/18 for £74.95 and was expecting £115.80 for the signing he made on the 18/09/18. This amount has not been received, should it have?
Many thanks.

When did his claim actually start? I guess it was a few days before the first appointment. Remember he is paid nothing for the first 7 days so entitlement to payment probably started part way through the period between the two appointments.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

He sent the online form off on the 03/09/180 -
If we take the claim start date as the 3rd he will not be entitled to any payment until 10th so as at the 18th when he went for the appointment he only has an entitlement to 9 days payment.
Weekly rate £57.90 divided by 7 days x 9 days = £74.44 (not sure why he got £74.95). Next payment after signing on should be for £115.80.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
