Sandtex Stabiliser on new render

hi hope you can help on this. Just had my chimney stacks re rendered- now dry. I have some quick drying sandtex stabilising solution left over from previous jobs- would it be a good idea/help to give the new render a coat or best just to use the sandtex paint?
