The all important odds of such a claim happening http://www.parkingappeals.info/companydata/UK_Parking_Control.html

You could try a Freedom of Information Act request to see the contract the hospital have signed. It might well say if UKPC are authorised to issue claims.

I would expect some resistance to such a request though as it may be deemed commercially sensitive.

    UKPC are well known fraudsters,

    https://www.driving.co.uk/news/fraud-bureau-opens-file-on-parking-firms-ticket-scam/

one wonders why the NHS contracts with such a disreputable firm, perhaps you should ask your MP to ask them.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Thank you all for your input.

I was just angry at how these scam artists work.

my wife and her colleagues just treat it as a hazzard of the job, and get on with it..

Its a good job i don't work for the NHS , if i found out one of my patients had anything to do with UKPC ............

Anyway will pay the £15 and hope there is something called karma ;)
