Varnish for Oak?

Evening All,
I’ve recently done out the whole house in oak skirting and architrave.
After reading lots of reviews i decided to go with Osmo Polyx oil and have done one coat on all of the upstairs. I’m not overly keen on the finish, it does look great and really brings the grain out in the wood but has darkened it quite a bit compared to how it was before.
Before i make a start on the downstairs does anyone have any recommendations on what else to use in a satin that may not have the same effect? I love the look of how they are now i just need some protection on them.
The other reason i ask is that i have an oak veneer door frame downstairs and i wouldn’t be able to use the Osmo on it so maybe a new product for the whole of downstairs would cover all of it.
Cheers

I've just replaced all our doors and we are using Osmo Poly X Raw Oil.
It has a bit of white pigment in it that helps keep the untreated look.
We then put a second coat of standard Poly X Clear on.
You have to be careful to only put a very thin coat of the Raw on or you can get a white sheen you have to sand back.
Also my doors are only veneer and after lots of reading tried the poly X on a door we damaged with no problems so decided to use it on the rest and have had no problems at all. Do you have any off cuts of the door frame left you could test with?
I struggle to tell the difference now between the doors I have treated and those I have left to do.0
