Hi guys

I need to open a savings account to look after my savings and transfer bits across to my current account with Monzo via bank transfer

Is Halifax any good ?

I currently have a Barclays Basic Current account and am considering getting a savings account with them, providing the debit card for my current account isn't linked to my savings

Thanks

  • Define good?

What are you looking for in a savings account?

How much do you have to transfer?

Wouldn't it just make sense to continue the discussion in your other thread about managing savings and current accounts? When there, if you're wanting views on savings accounts then it would be best to be reasonably specific, i.e. actual accounts rather than just the name of the institution (who will have multiple offerings), but as ever, the best place to start is the wealth of info already published on this site at the likes of https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/

But you've already got a Natwest savings account haven't you.

Form your other posts you say you had a Financial Advocate and now have to look after your own finances.

I would suggest that in your situation having multiple bank and savings accounts could cause confusion - keep it simple (and please don't post threads when you've already made your decision)
