However you may want to email your IVA company to say which companies have contacted them and said that they are yet to receive the proposal so you just wanted to make them aware. Or you can reply to the payday lenders to say the meeting of creditors is on 22/10/18 my IVA company is X and their contact number is X, please contact them for a copy of the proposal if you have not received this.
You have done your bit, whether they claim they received it or not they are bound by it anyway if it is accepted.
Did a bit of emailing to the creditors explaining. Also emailed IVA company who said it can take a while for some departments, particularly the departments who are tasked with calling people to see why they haven't paid their latest bill :rotfl:
Had a phone call on Monday just gone and my IVA was accepted
According to IVA company, some of my creditors didn't even bother to vote on it haha. Still waiting for them to send me paperwork via email for me to sign, and something called a Chairman's Report? They seem to be a bit slow (or they have a lot of cases to manage) but at least they drafted a realistic proposal that was accepted.
It's only £12k worth of debt I know, but trying to get some of these companies to help me out with repayment plans etc when I asked for help was near impossible. Some even said that their system won't allow them to place a hold/set up repayment plans with customers
These minimum payments were eating up all of my wages every month and couldn't treat myself to anything nice. Probably a good job I'm single as I couln't afford to take anyone out or treat them to anything nice hehe.
Oh well, here is to the next 5 years without worrying about creditors calling me, default charges and borderline threatening emails. I plan to do my HGV licences next with all this spare cash I'll have each month.
And thanks to all on MSE for answering my questions and providing info! It's nice that there's people on here that don't answer your questions sarcastically (well, I haven't met any yet haha) Going to try and get on here more often, it is a great forum.0 -
Congratulations on having your IVA accepted. It is totally normal for creditors not to vote. The chairman report details the outcome of the meeting (who voted, how they voted, any modifications that were agreed which are usually fee related if they related to you your IVA company would have discussed these before concluding the meeting).
Make sure you keep up to date with your IVA requirements and budget and I wish you a smooth journey to debt free0
