Self-Build Questionnaire - MArch Architecture

My name is Francesca Paul and I am a student at Northumbria University, Newcastle, studying a Masters in Architecture and am researching the self-build housing sector against the current housing crisis for my dissertation.


I am writing to ask if you would be willing to take part in a short survey about your experiences of self-build housing. With this survey, I aim to gather the insights of people who are currently undertaking, or have in the past undertaken, a self-build project in the UK to gauge patterns in who takes part in a self-build project but how better to streamline the process to encourage others to take part.


The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete, no questions are compulsory, and any personal details may you wish to include will only be seen by myself and my supervisor at Northumbria University and will be anonymised before reporting. The survey will be closed at the end of October 2018. Undertaking the survey will be taken as consent to participate.
