Please Help, no Heating!

Hi all - I have a weird issue with my heating system (not combi boiler).

When both the hot water and heating are on, the Heating works fine and radiators are all running. However once the hot water is done (either turned off / tank full) the boiler stops running and even though the thermostat looks to be calling the heating and the heating on timer is set to continuous, the boiler won't run just the heating.

Any thoughts / ideas much appreciated!

Thank you

  • By your description of the fault I'm guessing you have a 3 port valve which is playing up, not motoring to heating only once the hot water has reached temperature.
