Offer accepted, EA gone quiet

We are first time buyers and have been negotiating a price for a house we like for a couple of weeks. The vendor is using Purple Bricks. Last Thursday we had a missed call then a text from the EA saying the vendor will accept our latest offer. As I couldn't call back at the time I replied with text saying that's good news, do you want me to call back when I'm free. That was the last I heard from EA. As a FTB I'm not sure what should be happening once offer is accepted but I would of thought the EA would get back to me by now with some instructions. I'll call EA on Monday but any ideas why he's gone quiet?

Possibly he considers the sale in the bag and he's as hard-working as many others in the 'profession,' or maybe there were some other viewers lined-up for a viewing this weekend and he's hedging his bets.
  • If your offer has been accepted then you should have received written confirmation from EA

It might be related to this...

I imagine their people are incentivised to sign-up new sellers, rather than achieve completed sales/purchases.

So you may not get a huge amount of interest, activity or support from the EA going forward.

However, the EA should provide details of the seller, the seller's solicitor etc, which you should pass to your solicitor. (Similarly, the EA should ask you for details of your solicitor to pass to the seller.)

If the EA is completely unhelpful in providing this info, you could ask the seller for this info directly.

I'm selling via purple bricks. It seems to be a dirty word(s) for a lot of people on here but I have had a very good experience with them. when we accepted our buyers offer we got an automated message asking us to accept the offer via the app. when we did that we got an update with the buyers name address mortgage status etc. so it might be that the person selling the house hasn't done that bit yet. Once that is all done it depends on who they are using for a solicitor. if they are using the in house one, PB send them all the info. from a sellers point of view we then got lots of forms to fill in from them which we just scanned and uploaded all done and dusted in a couple of days, then wait for the buyer to request information etc.
