Indigo Michael misreporting?

Hello, can anyone help me? I recently discovered that a company called Indigo Michael who have a product called SafetyNet credit have reported stage 6 'late' payments on my equifax credit report since October 2016! Now, don't get me wrong, I knew I had an account with them but the only correspondance I have from them is reviews of my credit limit (which was never withdrawn) via email into my junk mail. There was no monthly amount to pay and I had ceased using any credit with them 2 years ago and had a small balance to repay (which i did immediately when all this became apparent).
Can i contest this reporting? They didn't formally 'default' the account or issue default notice, they didn't make me aware I had 'arrears' but sent me 4 emails over 2 years to advise they had reviewed my credit limit and give me the new limit (as I was no longer using the facility) nor did they add interest to the small balance I had for 2 years. Stupidly I only ever checked Experian, with whom Indigo Michael Ltd did not report to, I now know I should have been on top of it with both credit agencies.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

So you did owe them money that you paid back recently?
The markers would be late payment markers.
You can ask them to backdate the late payments and apply a default. It depends why benefit you’re looking to get from it0
