Building my creditability

HI Everyone
So, long story short, 8 years ago my credit was a mess. Lost a house, went bankrupt, the works.
I'm now debt free having paid everything off over the last 3 years, and will be looking to make sure this is complete.
I've had no credit (Nor a bank account until August 2018), so I'm really starting from scratch.
I know scores don't really mean much from the agencies, nit tha I have one, but I do now have a normal HSBC bank account, and a Aqua Credit card which I'm spending a bit on every month and paying back off once the bill comes through.
So my question, I've seen you can access your credit reports for free through clearscore etc, could you guys who know your stuff, advise how/which I could do to check these? It will save me looking through the threads.
Also, on this note, I'm now wanting to build my eligibilty for a mortgage in 2 years time, in your opinions, am I doing this right, or should there be additional steps I should be taking?
Sorry for the long post, but hoping you guys are friendly enough to help ensure I'm following the right track?
Kind Regards

I use noddle and clearscore, you can access another one via the MSE club; that means you are checking 3 of the 4 credit ref agencies (4th one doesnt get mentioned very often and I cant think what it is called).
Ignore the score as that means nothing
All i do is click through all the tabs and open/closed accounts, where you have an option to expand the info this is there defaults etc are listed.
Make sure you are on the electoral roll.
Lastly avoid paying bills late as this could result in a default.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Thank you.
At the moment, both Noddle and clearscore are bringing nothing about my credit history up, saying there is not enough information.
Is this bad?0 -
It means exactly that.
Contact them and ask them to verify your details etc and then they may show more.
Always ignore the CRA scores as they mean nothing in the real world0 -
Thank you.

Its not entirely bad.
Maybe Aqua and your bank dont report to them.
Not all lenders etc have to report to an agency, some report to 1 2 or all 3.
Maybe find out who they report too and go from there.0 -
Your bankruptcy would have dropped off 2 years ago and new accounts opened in August probably have not been picked up by the reporting cycle yet. Do the reports show you as on the electoral register and correct address details ? Next one to go for is the MSE Credit Club which gives you Experian data.0

Was the Aqua card also opened in August? It could be that they haven't reported to the CRAs yet. Often they report to one or two and the CRA's take the info from the other CRA's. You may need to wait a bit longer for them to show.0
