What to put on shed floor

Hi, I am looking to put something on our new shed floor. Main reason for putting something is to avoid any damage to wooden floor when moving things or if I drop something.
I was looking at lino but not sure if that will create any condensation /rotting problems. Shed is on a set of bearers about 1inch above a concrete base (which In turn is about 100mm above ground)..
Any suggestions please. Shed is 14 x 8 ft.
Thanks

I put 3mm marine plywood and underneath that a damp course membrane. On top of the ply I’ve actually out a layer of kitchen tiles that I had laying about. They are push fit inserted so not glued down but surprisingly work well. Not have broken yet but I do take care not to smash anything on the floor.0

if you are worried about wood rot, you will probably have underfloor vents cut in the side, or vent holes cut in the top of the floor, If your floor is straight on the dirt, or concrete slab, possibly a bit late in the day now the shed is built to worry about stuff, unless the think you can get some liquid damp proofing down there0

Unless you want to use the shed for entertaining, then I wouldn't be especially worried about the floor. If it is good quality then it will resist normal use, and if it isn't good quality you'll be replacing it in a couple of years anyway as it starts to fail at the edges.
So long as the shed is watertight you shouldn't get problems with condensation or rotting, so lino would be ok if that is your preferred option (but it won't provide much protection), but be aware it can be very slippery when wet, so if you are likely to walk into the shed when it is raining outside, make sure you take extra care (especially if wearing wellies)

Why bother if it is just a garden shed used for storage?
Does it really matter if the floor gets a few dents or marks?
Anything you put on top will probably also get dents and marks and may show them more than a wooden floor.0 -
