Postal Redirection - Tracked mail - security concerns

A pain, but can you not change the address on all of your important mail and leave a short term redirection from your old address to a relative or friend. If you are efficient at changing the addresses on the most important things then a redirection won't be necessary at all.0

In the meantime dont accept any recorded delivery postAlways on the hunt for a bargain0

It was the case that if someone sent a redirected letter with tracking, they could get the actual address it was delivered to (not just the postcode or delivery office). I think this has been tightened up now because of people in similar situations.
I'd suggest getting a virtial office/mail forwarder in a big city completely different from where you are eg British Monomarks in London.
You can also sign up to a VoIP provider such as sipgate.co.uk and get a 'landline' phone number (which can forward to voicemail/email) to give the impression you are somewhere you aren't.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I may be wrong but I think it will still show the sorting office on online tracking whether the mail is accepted / delivered or not.0
-
Or possibly - make sure you do, otherwise the returned envelope will have the redirection label on it? Depends whether the sender has put a (genuine) return address on it of course.
Doesnt matter either way. An undelivered Signed for will still show the office that attempted to deliver the item.0 -
