Low oil pressure...Mixing engine oils?

If yes, how its the warning light did not came on?
The light comes on when there is zero oil being sucked up that pipe and there is very very little oil pressure, it doesn't indicate that the level is low (although people think so, and that it is alright to just drive to Halfords with it on......). As long as that pipe in the sump is covered it will have oil pressure.
The pipe is right at the bottom for 3 reasons
1) the oil is cooler
2) accelerating, braking, going uphill and downhill move the oil around and being at the bottom in the middle there is less chance the pipe is uncovered
3) it will keep on picking up oil until there really is none left.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

When the oil is really low, braking moves the oil to the front of the sump, and the pick-up pipe comes out of the oil, leading to low pressure for a short time.
As the engine is off load, and likely running slowly, this short disturbance is unlikely to cause any significant harm, but it is not recommended obviously
If this was the case, I would be saying get it sorted, now.0 -
Today we did the oil change + filters (spark plugs arrive soon)
Now its really nice to drive, everything is smooth and silent and it pulls nice.
I dont know what could happened inside the engine etc due to lack of service but it really looked terrible...
In the oil you see on the pictures already has 1.5L fresh Shell fulls + 450ml stp engine flush....and still dark as f
The car really drives nice now, like a new car really but it is still bothers me what could be the damage in the engine and others...

You could strain the old oil through something like a coffee filter to check for metal particles but given there is very little you could do about any damage you may as well not worry and just enjoy driving it.0

Have seen worse at 10k miles since the last logged service book stamping.
Turned out the three dealers used did not change the oil and charged for it along with stamping the book as FSH for at least 40k.
If you want something doing right, do it yourself.0
