Consumer claims Plevin Lloyds case

Hi, my first post here so any advice appreciated.
I recently had multiple PPI claims investigate by Consumer Claims with 2 successful letters and cheques sent by Lloyds soon after.
I also received 3 further letters but never heard from Lloyds.
After speaking to the claims company they stated that this was in fact Plevin compensation and not PPI.
I also spoke to Lloyds but they had no idea about any Plevin money due to me.
The claims company have now invoiced me for all 5 cases.
Does this Plevin compensation exist and just delayed or are they trying something on ?

  • Plevin is only applicable to rejected complaints.

It's a fair assumption that anything a claims company tells you is a lie.

First you state the letters and cheques were sent by Lloyds and then you say you haven't heard from them? What do the further three letters state? Who are they from?

Although you have agreed for a CMC to represent you in your PPI complaints (they have no ability to investigate, by the way, they simply act on information provided by you), the Bank should be sending the result of your complaints directly to you and simply a copy of same to the Company.

Obviously, you won't have to pay any fee on monies you haven't (or will not) be awarded - but it seems more likely that whoever you spoke to at Lloyds was in error and that you will be receiving more money.
If a Plevin refund is to be paid to you, your CMC should be chasing it on your behalf-that's what you are supposed to be paying a huge chunk of your redress for!
Instruct the CMC that you won't be paying the invoices on the three rejected accounts until you receive any Plevin redress that may (or may not) be forthcoming.
