Anyone know why Sainsburys wont allow a balance transfer from a Virgin credit card?
Or alternatively know of a CC that will accept a balance transfer from a Virgin CC?
I had a very small balance to transfer from both Barclays and Virgin, Barclays went through no problem,

No idea? news to me.
Is Sainsburys connected to Virgin in anyway, I say that knowing I couldn't transfer my Halifax to Bank of Scotland card or Natwest to RBS.
I'm sure Virgin and Sainsburys aren't connected, maybe others will have the answer.0 -
User error? Did you get the card details right?0

Well I just rang them up (yes I know I should have done that first) and they had no clue either. But I also discovered that the 0% offer was only for 3 months!!! So cancelled the card whilst I was on the phone.
Back to the drawing board for a new card to transfer to.0 -
As you’ve just applied for one and now cancelled it the account and all related searches will show on your credit files.
So this may hinder any further applications0 -

You discovered? you didn't already know what deal you were transferring to!!!
Agree with Gary Dexter, you've now got a new application on your file and your drawing board should include NOT applying for a new card for a few months.0 -

Are you sure their offer was for 0% on balance transfers for three months?
Their website boasts far longer balance transfer periods, with 0% on purchases for three months.
Barclaycard regularly offer balance transfer deals. In your situation I may have been tempted to transfer everything to the Sainsbury's card and hope to get an offer from Barclaycard in the next few months.
I also get regular balance transfer deals from Virgin, however the fee is on the high-side at around 4%.0
