Pre-paid prescription. Is it worth a year over 3 months ?

Options
I have been buying a pre-payment card for my 3 prescribed meds. So far I can stretch buying a 3 month pass (£29.10) 3 times over a year as I tend to re-order a couple of times for the duration of the 3 months (as there seems to be no limit on how many times you can re-order withing the 3 month period) So in theory you are getting a better deal than the year which will cost £104 for 12 months or am I missing something ?

If you're organised enough to do it that way and remember to get the new certificate then there's no problem. I've seen it advised many times on these forums as the most cost effective way to get prescriptions if you don't qualify for free ones.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

The yearly one is the best deal as it covers you for the 3 months you don't have cover for any extra prescriptions over and above your usual meds.

All that for to save £16.

2 extra prescriptions outside the 3 months you don't have cover will wipe out any 'savings' you think you will save.

Also you do know you can now pay for the full yearly prepayment card on direct debit in ten monthly instalments.
