And it's people like you who thrive on policy's and gossip and paperwork. I'd love to see pencil pushers like yourselves do a real days work.

    What is it you do?

If you are 32 I imagine you are too young to remember "old school" so may be going purely on anecdotal "evidence", otherwise known as hearsay.

Why, just why did you go back to work earlier than your doctor advised? Do you think you are indispensable? No-one is.

I am not sure calling you 12 is not an insult to some 12 year olds; I think 2 might be nearer the mark. I recommend you either grow up and get a clue or find another job and demand to see their sickness policy at your first interview. I am sure that will endear you to the recruiters.

On the other hand, you could chalk this up to experience and learn from it. You obviously have (or had) a work ethic. How about showing your employer just what a valuable employee you are? It is in your hands. I hope you find a way to turn this situation around.

Spot on - this can be turned around.

However, I wonder if the OP hurls insults and abuse at anyone who disagrees with them or simply doesn't tell them what they want to hear at work - if so, I can well imagine them finding themselves at the next stage of the disciplinary procedure in fairly short order.

To[sic] many soppy office pansies in here obviously that just want to brown nose the one above them. 'well if your policy says this or that or go eat oranges everyday than you must do it'.

Like you - “ooh I must get back early after a broken rib to show what a goody two shoes I am” (paraphrased). If you need more than three weeks off then you need it, tough sh it on work.
