https://www.hostinger.com/web-hosting for personal use charge £0, just do not expect support and hand holding at that price. :)

for a single company with low usage of 100Gb/m $0.80

In the old version of word (probably in the new one too?) and in libreoffice, it allows you to create very basic web pages and save them.

If you are looking for a responsive, optimised, smart looking web page, possibly with seo for free, you will have a very sharp learning curve or fork out cash.

Shoots up to $4.95 after the first 3 months.

I recently switched my hosting to Namecheap, under $25 for the year (40% cashback also available through TopCashback/Quidco):

No limit on bandwidth. There's a website builder you can use or you can install Wordpress / other packages with a few clicks. Very happy with it so far, got three sites hosted on it and they're handling all my email.
  • easyhosting.co.uk give free hosting for 12 months when you register or transfer any domain name. the cost of this is about £6

They include unlimited bandwidth and a good/easy free site builder.

    How much is WIX?

I used easily to purchase my domain and then after using some free hosting sites i gave up with their poor service and moved to 50webs where you get to host upto 20 websites costs me about £46 a year.

Unlimited bandwidth and storage, 5Gb backup limit. 40GB for email storage. You can also create upto 200 50webs subdomains..
like i have forgotmyname.50webs.com upto 200 of those for free.

Dont see many mention prices, so am i being ripped off or not a bad price?

Thats the thing I found with with these DIY services, they tempt you in professing to be cheap but over time the cost keeps running. Ditto with the cheap domain name companies, cheap to register then larger renewal prices and often high surcharges to move away/make any changes.

We have our companies site done by a local company now and are paying far less per year than when we were using the 1&1 service.
