Buyer makes offer and then backs out of sale

Had an item selling for buy it now. Buyer makes lower offer, I acceptand sale closes. Buyer informs me next day that they saw another offer and sorry for wasting my time.

What should I do considering they messaged me and apologised ?

  • There's not a lot you can do. Cancel the order using the "Buyer wants to cancel" option and you will be refunded your fees
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • This seem to happen a lot. Personally, instead of accepting a offer I counter adding a penny with a message saying I am only doing it so they still have the option to proceed or not.
  • You can complain to Ebay ,but not much really .you cant force them to go through with the sale

Ebay are waiting for them to confirm the cancellation. What if they don't bother to respond ? I won't get my lost fees back.

"If you refunded the buyer and they haven't approved the cancellation, you can submit an Unpaid Item request in order to get your final value fees back".
