I'm looking to buy a graphics card for my PC but not sure on what to get.
I wont be playing games. Mainly will be using the internet, watching movies and photos.
My PC specs are as follows:
Dell Dimension 3000, Celeron D 340, 1GB Ram
A quick scan on my PC reveals:
LPC Bus - Yes
PCI Bus - Yes
AGP Bus - Yes
Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi you would only be looking at a basic sort of card then to take the burden from you onboard one and the memory that is uses.
I would recomend these from th ATI brand:

and these from Nvidia:

planemad, they need to be AGP!
Mr_Mister, any one of these would be fine:
ATi
nVidia
If your order is £30 or more (excl VAT & delivery) you can get £10 off with Google Checkout (GC) - expires 5/11 (tomorrow).
You could pick up a real bargain from eBay (I'd say don't go for anything less than 64Mb): a search (sorted by Time: ending soonest) / another (sorted by buy-it-now & Price: Lowest first). G0 -

You probably have a spare PCI slot, but you need a PCI-E slot for the ones planemad suggested. There are PCI graphics cards too, but not worth it as you have AGP anyway. G0 -

Is there any way to check if my AGP slot is free? What does it look like?
Thanks0 -

It doesn't matter. Your pc can only use one graphics card anyway, so if you already have a card then you'll be directly replacing it. Either you have card already or you're using onboard graphics but a new card will still end up going in that slot anyway and an existing card must be taken out."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Cool. One last question.
Will I be able to connect to a TV with these cards?0
