ESA Assessment!!!!

Just had a letter for an appointment for an ESA assessment .....
The date is the 10th of October, but the time is what is bothering me ..... its for 9am!!!!
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and getting myself ready and sorted (and there) for 9am is a tall order.
I've been looking on some sites about altering the time but they only refer to altering the day ....
I don't want to alter the day, just the time .....
If I ring ,do you think, if I explain my condition, they would allow me to be seen on that day, but at a later time (preferably an afternoon appointment)??
And should I ring the Health Assessment Advisory Service, or the JobCentre, or who??
Thanks

All you can do is ring the number at the top of the letter and ask. You may not be able to change just the time. If you do change anything then remember that you can only do this once. Good luck.tomkitten68 wrote: »

Can you get someone to help, just for the day.
Perhaps its's a good thing that they see you at your least capable.0 -
I am not sure mate - Ring them and ask
When I recently attended for the same, I was surprised at how supportive the staff seemedWith love, POSR

On the ESA50 there is a part that asks specifically about this type of issue such as what times won't be suitable for appointments blah blah blah. Just phone and tell them your condition and they will probably change it.0

I'm glad you mentioned that, I thought I was going mad. My son put on his ESA50 that he wouldn't be available from 4th-12th of october inclusive, his appointment came through today for 5th october!0 -

You'd think it would count as a reasonable adjustment
Good luck to whoever assesses me next if its in a morning. My medication makes me so drowsy, i can't even work mornings because of it (reasonable adjustment on works part, can;t see why this shouldn;t be the same)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. A lot the time first appointments are computer generated so it gives out the first available appointment regardless of what you written on the form.0
