Travel Republic - kids in separate room and overcharged - holiday ruined

Did your accommodation voucher state two bedroom apartment? And did they send you an updated voucher once you paid extra?
It seems you booked and expected to get a two bedroom apartment which would have adequately fit you all in, they can sleep up to 4 adults, 2 in each bedroom so you would have all been together. At some point the booking has changed, this could be because travel republic booked you a family room originally which only fits 2 adults and children under 12 so they swapped it and charged you extra without making it clear. Or it could be that they booked a two bed apart, genuinely did have a pricing error and then the hotel was overbooked and they decided to move you. I agree that the bickering would have been less of an issue if you were all together as it's easier to nip in the bud.
I think the accommodation vouchers will give you some answers but either way if you booked a two bed apart and didn't get it. Once you know what you originally booked you might be able to decipher who is to blame Travel Republic or the hotel.Lea
