MBNA PPI question

Hi,
I have two separate PPI complaint cases out with MBNA Credit Cards.
I had two letters yesterday, one saying saying one of my claims had been upheld and they are paying me £500.00+
The other letter stated they required ‘further information’ on the other claim, so I called the telephone number and they asked what my salary was back in 2009, and what sickness scheme my company had in place.
Just thought it strange as BOTH of complaints I had with them they were given the same information. I wonder why one was upheld (successful claim) and the other requires ‘further information’ (which in reality they already had!)
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Sold by the same staff member or distribution method at the same time?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. No, about two years apart, but both sold in the same way (over the telephone)
So likely to be different staff members. Probably has different audit trails and could also be different versions of the PPI product.
It could also be that they didnt investigate the first one and treated it as an auto-payout as the amount was so low. Whereas the second one is above their floor limit and they are investigating that one.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
