How to maximise bonus / supplemental allowance

I'm currently negotiating with a prospective employer. The base salary is lower than I currently get but the bonus may be higher. They may be prepared to give me a sign-on bonus to compensate the gap. The key question is what are any avenue to pay lower tax on bonuses or supplemental income (outside of base salary)? For example I understand equity/shares are taxed at 27% and not accumulated on top of regular salary. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

This is the wrong board for your question - this board is for questions on welfare benefits.
You can either repost in the employment forum (two above this one) or send a message to a board guide asking them to move your question. The first option would be quicker.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
