Problem with facebook search.

I have had a problem in the last few days with facebook.
When I get a page up the word 'sound' appears in the search bar on facebook, it then shows a dropdown menu of related items for 'sound'.
I have never actually searched for the word sound so I don't know where it has come from.
I delete it each time but it just keeps coming back with every click I make on the page.
I have deleted all my search history from the settings on facebook, deleted cookies, run a virus scan and used crap cleaner, none of which are clearing it.
It is also happening on 3 different browsers.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this please.

It probably doesn't help you much but I've just logged onto FB and I don't have this issue, so it may well be something specific to you (whether that means Mark Zuckerberg thinks you are 'special' I wouldn't like to say!).

Whats the problem though? Is the drop down menu stuck in place? Can you not delete 'sound' and carry on searching, even if it does revert to saying 'sound' does it display search results if you look for anything else?

I can delete the word and the drop down menu but it just keeps coming back all the time even if I'm not doing anything.
If I click to write a reply, or something, I start to type and the cursor jumps back into the search bar so I'm typing in there instead.
I've deleted 'sound' and typed different words in but it just keeps refreshing to the word 'sound', I can search for other things if I'm quick.
If I go to scroll down the page using the drop down arrow on my laptop the cursor keeps jumping to the search box so I can't scroll down and I have to keep clicking back onto the page, it happens about every 20 seconds.

Does anyone have any idea about this problem please.
Today I did a system restore on my laptop to see if that would help but it is still happening. I have tried -

deleting all my search history from the settings on facebook,
deleting cookies,
running a virus scan,
used crap cleaner,
tried different browsers,
and system restore.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this please.

“Sounds” like a bug to me, sorry will get my hat and coat..Unless have you tried from a smartphone or another pc, perhaps try from a usb linux live system

Try and install Facebook Purity, if nothing else you can then customise FB to do what you want & not what Mark Z thinks you need
