I was just dusting my monitor and keyboard and I seem to have inadvertantly hit a key which has changed the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3. How do I change it back? I am running windows 7.

Hit the key again
Was it a key on your keyboard or a button on your monitor that you inadvertently knocked.
If you can't find it then right-click on your desktop and chhose whatever graphics settings/option you're running. There should be a setting regarding aspect ratios.0 -
Screen resolution for the monitor is showing the correct (rectangular) setting recommended for the monitor but the display stays obstinately square in the middle with black side panels.0

It'll likely be a button on the monitor that you have touched.
And as they are all different, you'd have to tell us make and model.0 -

Sorry I thought I posted the reply earlier. Must have forgotten to send. It was indeed an "invisible" button under the monitor. All OK now0
