Who can I escalate my RAC complaint to?

Lose the emotion out of this or you'll get nowhere - breakdowns happen on roads where people are killed on a daily basis so your rape/murder/pregnant ranting is irrelevant
Ask them clearly for what you want and make it reasonable (i.e. not £500 for hurt feelings) and then come back and ask for advice once they've responded.
How rude.
The op wasn't ranting.0 -
You're entitled to your opinion as I am mine
OPs post #5 may not be your definition of ranting but it's certainly not rational
What's rational is just certainly in your rather narrow opinion .
A 7 month pregnant woman is stranded and afraid, what's illogical about expecting an update?0 -
You could use resolver to escalate0

I appreciate the responses from people who are actually trying to help. I didn't ask for opinions on my vulnerability or pregnancy - some people need to remove their heads out of their rear ends and find something better to do than pick apart someone else's life!
I am not 'playing' a card. I'm pregnant, that's a fact. Why I'm out at a certain time is really irrelevant to the situation and complete besides the point. Why I returned to my vehicle at [x] time is also irrelevant - without knowing what goes on in my life, you cannot make a judgement. Whether I'm pregnant, fat, an athlete, a black man, a dog, or anything else, being left at a roadside for 6+ hours is a vulnerable position.
All I wanted to know was how to escalate my complaint further, due to the fact that the RAC ignored 80% of my complaint, and were the ones who told me in the first place to get a taxi so they could refund it (that's not a resolution). I have taken the advice to write a LBA and will go from there.0 -
You weren't left at the roadside for 6 hours though were you. You could have been but weren't. Why go back to the car at night time when it was such a dodgy area, you say its irrelevant but it's really not - its what a judge may ask you if it gets to court.0

That's a little unfair.
Resolver is just an E-Mail template, while the Ombudsman is an official agency empowered to arbitrate in such disputes.
If the RAC is ignoring FOS, then it's more than doubtful MSE's template will be successful.0 -

Oh I think it's very relevant. Especially when your next course of action is likely to be the Small Claims Court. If RAC defend, then these are some of the questions you could be asked.0
