Insurance for self employed

Hello,

Can someone assist please with some advice. My husband left his old company to start on his own. For the last year he has been building up the business and he was previously a high earner (£200k plus per year). He is now back on track.

Although we have life insurance we don't have any cover should he not be able to work. We have critical illness but that looks like it is for terminal issues. If for example he broke his leg or he got cancer which was cureable. Is there any insurance that would cover this for the months where he couldn't work?

Kind regards

Permanent health insurance (PHI) is still dominantly retailed via IFAs and whole of market mortgage advisers. The comparison sites only have limited coverage of a small number of providers. They prefer to retail the budget versions only or PPI versions. You do not want the PPI version.
