How easy to install a dishwasher

Before I chuck my partner out for his shoddy dishwashing skills :rotfl:
We have decided to get a dishwasher installed.
The set up in the kitchen is next to the sink is the washing machine so water pipes are set up. Next to that is a set of drawers. I was thinking that is the best place to put it.
Only thing is that the drain pipe is going to be long.So may causes some problems.
Anything else I need to think about?
Thanks

You can join it into the sink or w/m waste, so it's only the width of the w/m away. You already have power and cold water supplies adjacent for the w/m anyway, so it should be very straightforward. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thats is what I was hoping.
Another dumb question. I will need both a plumber and a electrician?
I know I have single socket behind the w/m that is fed to an on/off switch above the work surface.
Thanks in advance.
