Do you already have a new phone?
How much would it cost to fix the S8?
How much would you likely get for a working S8?
I'm using an old S6. The S8 would cost about £350–400 to fix (screen and new power button). Mazuma will give £110 for it since it is rightfully classed as "faulty" by their criteria.
I think I'm going to go for a OnePlus 6 next. High-end phone but much cheaper and one of the best Android phones of the year so far from the looks of it.0 -
I didn't know that, I assumed you were joking!
Here you go.....

Thanks for the link. It says:When data is stored in encrypted form, it is safe from all but the most sophisticated threats. It is therefore important to have data at rest encryption enabled on laptops, smartphones and other mobile computing devices that are at greatest risk of loss or theft.
It doesn't specify any minimum standard of encryption but from what I've read Android, in particular Samsung, is very secure.0
