I would appreciate some clarification on your your reasoning EdInvestor.
Webtalk asked a reasonable question, and I replied with my thoughts, backed up by market data and commentary.Save some money for a rainy Dave!

Webtalk, I apolgise for answering your question and providing you with more information regarding Barclays' current position, clearly this is what counts as SPAM these days.
I was not and am not encouraging anyone to buy (or for that matter sell) Barclays PLC stock.
I made it clear that the post was my personal thoughts, which would seem reasonable since your question was "Does anybody have any thoughts?"My personal thoughts are
True, however for copyright reasons I am not permitted to display screenshots of a market terminal in an open forumthat's certainly what technical analysis is currently suggesting
Slightly contentious personal opinion of the financial commentary in several publications over the last three days.Barclays to City - "We are far less exposed to the sub-prime lending market than you may have thought we would be."
City to Barclays - "If it's all the same to you, we'll just wait and see"
The screenshots provided were simple market data and figures from a source which I am permitted to reproduce.
Apologies for any unintentional offence that may have been caused.Save some money for a rainy Dave!

Rainy_dave, does indeed have the name of a company in his signature. However, he provides no link to this company, which is forbidden under the forum rules.
For clarification, the rules state with regard to Signatures:SIGNATURES
Please ensure your signature takes up a minimum amount of space. Large signatures can make threads harder to read.
andSIGNATURE LINKS
The only links permitted in signatures are those of the MSE team, the Forum team, Board Guides and links to charity (ie they are on the Charities Commission Register of Charities). This includes un-activated links. If in doubt, contact !!!!!!
My signature is both:
a) Short
and
b) Contains no signature links
Nor did I attempt at any point in this post to direct anyone to the company in question. I simply used the resources which I have available to provide a comprehensive answer.
Slightly dissapointed by the mild hostility I have received.Save some money for a rainy Dave!

I see rainy_dave is promoting his site over on this thread:

Well spotted, you would also notice that it was in response to a direct question, to which the recommendation given was a valid solution. Nothing is being "pushed" on anyone.Save some money for a rainy Dave!
