… I have maxed out 2 more cards that I kept for emergencies. (I definitely am not allowed credit again, i just cannot handle it). Can I add these on to my DMP even though it has already started? I can add another £25 to the monthly payment...
If it were me, I would advise PayPlan that I could only afford token DMP payments for the next three months or so. (That would allow me the breathing space to build a decent Emergency Fund (EF). This is because an EF if an essential part of all successful monthly budgets.)I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Hi willing.
I have sent my budget....they say they are not refusing to accept my proposal but want bank statements to set it up. They said they want to make sure its affordable. I want to respond stating look at my I and e info its affordable! Thing is my former DMP provider was paying £100 more to them they didn't ask then. Former DMP was overpaying them and under paying other creditors according to NEDCAB. My new offers are more fairer. They are very bullyish and I have warned them once before about harassment now this. How would you deal with them?

Hi Changingtimes,
I would block their phone number and write to them, advising them that all future correspondence must be made in writing. You can clearly re-state your DMP payment schedule and amounts within the text of your letter. Don't worry, and besides, a DMP is just an informal arrangement.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Yes, done that! I don't speak to them anymore this is all y email. I told them I was taking advice. I will email them again tomorrow and tell them no legal requirement to send bank statements that my paying will be xxx on xxx and ignore further requests for bank statements etc.
Wish I could suspend all creditors payments for 3 months and pay these clowns off . They are the only ones who cause me stress.
Thanks willing,

Is it possible to ask Payplan to accept token amounts for a few months to set up EF? All of the creditors have been contacted and already agreed to the plan?0

Anything is possible, but if you want to save an emergency fund, then you tell them your making token payment, you don’t ask.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. If it’s stressing you out, ignore them till they sell the debt on, debt collectors aren’t fussed with bank statements.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. It is true that PayPlan will not be happy to accept your 'token payment plan' to build an EF. But then at the end of the day they can only do as instructed. Why not just say that the 3 months of token payments are so you can make urgent maintenance on your car, or for boiler repair, or for something similar...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
