  • Just to add, no I don’t care where they go. I just want them gone.

In the vague hope that me being proactive will encourage the council to rehouse them asap just to shut me up! He who shouts the loudest etc!

It won't, don't waste your energy! There are genuinely homeless people needing help every single day, a moaning landlord won't take priority over them.

Do you think these places are sitting empty ready to be moved into and the council are being awkward for the sake of it?

    Thought I’d update the situation!

Good news is they have moved out!! Before the bailiffs visit. They let me know last Friday they were able to move into a relatives place, and packed up slowly and finally left on Monday. I told them I’d pop round to say goodbye and collect keys and check out the state of the place, obv they gave me quite a bit of verbal abuse! The place was a tip but I’m just thankful they’ve gone!!

As they now owe me a lot of money, which I had more promises of, but received nothing, I would like to take further action to try and gain something. I don’t have a forwarding address but I do have work place details, how do I go about asking work / the court for payment ? And although I have a court order for eviction and payment, will this show up like a ccj on there record?

I really feel strongly that they shouldn’t get off Scot free without paying rent in months and having no comeback

Yes if they don’t pay after 28 days

If you want to pursue them, I would advise hiring a process server / tracing agent.
It will protect you from accusations of harassment etc.
Are you using a solicitor? Most solicitors in this field will have process servers they work with.
Keep records of the costs etc.
Are you claiming these costs on your landlord insurance?
If so, speak to them first. They may request you use a server known to them.

But consider whether you are actually going to get any money back.
