Hi
I currently use the Glint app to hold Gold (backed by physical Gold) and find the service excellent with low fees. Are there similar platforms to convert GBP to other metals e.g. Silver, Platinum etc, without buying a fund?
thanks

Why don't you want to use a physical backed ETF?Selling off the UK's gold reserves at USD 276 per ounce was a really good idea, which I will not citicise in any way.0

I have plenty of “proper” investments, Gold as a commodity is actually a safer store of value than normal currency (history shows this). With government debts out of control, more rates rises imminent and equities due a correction, there is no better time to be holding Gold/Silver.0 -

High Fees . With Glint for example there are no ongoing/platform fees, event BullionVault looks good but charges minimum £4pm for storage which on a small amount is expensive.0 -

Don't Glint make their money via transaction fees? No such thing as a free lunch.
Are you planning to just buy and hold with Glint to avoid fees?Selling off the UK's gold reserves at USD 276 per ounce was a really good idea, which I will not citicise in any way.0 -

glad to hear it.
and i hope you're not putting more than 1% of your investible assets in PMs.

false - unless you define "store of value" in some technical way that's irrelevant to most people.
and you're using glint to get exposure to gold? implying you trust 1 obscure company to honour its debts more than you trust the UK??
if glint were wound up, and (this is not a certainty) all the physical gold it's supposed to hold to back clients' "gold" did exist, who do you think would pay the costs of distributing it to clients?

this is market timing: just say no, kids!0 -
