Address change - which parties do I contact?

Hi all,
A little bit of background. A couple years ago I was issued a PCN, and have been getting letters from time to time from 'debt collectors', and promptly ignoring them - I did an extensive amount of reading on this forum when I first received the PCN and hope I have been handling the situation correctly.
My query concerns a change of address. Who must I inform of my new address? Would it be the private parking firm or the 'debt collectors' they have passed the PCN off to, or all of the parties from whom I have received some form of communication?
In addition, with regard to the change of address letter, would a standard business format suffice? To my best knowledge I should send it first class asking for a proof of postage, but unsure if I should keep a copy or post a copy to myself, any clarification on that would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your input and advice.

Which parking firm?
You can email some of them, and you can email DRP if it's them writing to you, and IMHO it's best to give BOTH your new address.
You should not have ignored it at the time*, and many would have been easily won, if they are a BPA Firm with POPLA on offer at the time.
*we have not said to ignore private PCNs since 2013.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for your reponse.
The firm in question is Park Direct UK, so that's why after my first appeal, which was rejected, I went on to read and ignore the rest (they were all just threats really)
I do see they have an online portal, would it be possible to just use that to notify them of the address change?0 -
How about looking for their privacy page/notice on their website and seeing how to contact their Data Protection Officer, and asking them to rectify the inaccurate data of the old address. They have to act on a ''rectification notice'' and a SAR.
And was this a case of a typo in the numberplate, by any chance? If so, then you can also use the rectification notice to tell the DPO to rectify that 'inaccurate data' as well.
And while you are about it, even if it's not a typo in a VRN, why not also do a SAR?
Ask for copies of all photos taken and all letters sent, all data held & processed including the DVLA lookup and file notes, status updates, and the referral made to the debt collector.
Head your letter or email up:
Subject Access Request, and Rectification Notice (GDPR) FTAO your Data Protection Officer
And if you have no email addy, then post it second class at a PO Counter and ask for a receipt in the form of a Certificate of Posting (that's free proof).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, thank you very much for your advice.
It was not a case of a typo in a VRN, and I will look into requesting a SAR.
Would I only need to request a SAR with Park Direct UK or should I request a SAR with all parties involved thus far? Due to the nature of the parties involved I am inclined to cover all bases, so to speak.
I will post an update with my SAR.0 -

Unsure what the nature of other parties is with you
but Park Direct are the ones who issued the ticket
and it is their responsibility to inform other parties
Unless of course they wish to fall foul of the GDPR0 -
Hi beamerguy,
By other parties I just meant the debt collectors who have been harassing me via pesky letters.
I presumed it would be PDUK's responsibility to inform them, but thought I'd ask. Better safe than sorry.
Cheers0 -

Right, the pesky debt collectors are powerless idiots
and nobody even talks to idiots
It's up to the PPC to tell their dogs0 -
Thanks for the input guys, it is greatly appreciated.0

OK - SAR plus Rectification Notice (address) to the PPC's DPO.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all,
Quick update, I have gone through the privacy notice on their page and have all the details required to proceed with the SAR and rectification notice.
Just wondering whether it would be a good idea sharing a copy of personal documentation (passport/driving license) with the PPC?0
